This is a really awesome idea, I love it. I've never been much a fan of haikus as they seem to never hit me where they should, emotionally, but I think yours actually does a great job. You're taking something that is known as a bigger, elaborate, detailed piece and breaking it down; it's incredibly effective. You're officially my favorite haiku poet.
